Sandra

Forest School Leader,
Director and Founder
of
The World Outside
Level 3 Childcare PractitionerKindergarten Deputy manager

The idea of a Kindergarten started several years ago, but I had never given it much thought until a throw away comment during the 1st lockdown in 2020.

Now after alot of investigation, when I found myself with more time on my hands than I had predicted in 2020, this idea has become a reality.

In June 2021 we opened the Wyre Forests first outdoor Kindergarten within the  fantastic, secure area of woodland within the grounds of Baxter college.

We have a fantastic team of Forest School Leaders and support staff, however we will be looking for qualified early years staff, so if you love the outdoors and have the qualifications, we would love to hear from you.

The World Outside, is an outdoor activity, bushcraft and forest school provider based in Kidderminster, offering our services throughout the Wyre Forest Area, but we can usually be found at Bodenham Arboretum, where we run holiday clubs, curriculum linked visits for schools, parties and much more!

We cater for children, adults, organisations, schools, charities and groups, offering a whole host of outdoor activities from bushcraft and survival skills to bug hunting and pond dipping!

We have three Forest School sites within the grounds of the Arboretum, two offering fantastic shelters, complete with wood burning stoves, which can accommodate 30 - 40 children each. So whatever the weather we can cater for all your needs!

All of our Forest school leaders are:

·       OCN Level 3 trained by Bishops Wood Environmental Centre in Worcestershire

·       Experienced in working with children.

·       Insured and hold an Enhanced DBS

·       Qualified in Paediatric First Aid
