🥕 Food Safety and Healthy Eating
At our setting, children’s safety and wellbeing come first — especially at mealtimes.
We follow the EYFS 2025 safer eating guidance to make sure all food and drinks are healthy, balanced, and safe for every child.
All staff have completed their Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene training, which includes allergen awareness, so they fully understand how to handle, prepare, and serve food safely.
We know every child’s dietary needs, allergies, and preferences, and a qualified paediatric first aider is always present when children are eating.
Meals and snacks are prepared and served hygienically, with children seated and carefully supervised while they enjoy their food.
We encourage healthy eating habits, offer fresh drinking water throughout the day, and work closely with parents to meet each child’s individual needs.
